Cathrine Mannina, LCMT, has been working as a massage therapist for 12 years. Unique to her training is her background in East Indian disciplines that view the body in a very holistic manner. This training includes Ayervadic techniques (East Indian), Tai Chi (Chinese), and Ki Aikido martial arts (Japanese). Although she is a master level Reiki practitioner, she prefers to use Vajra Panjar (Shield of the Thunderbolt) Kundalini Maha Yoga healing techniques.

Cathrine is quick to understand the root of her client’s pain and discomfort. Once she determines the problem, she selects the most effective approach to bring the body back into balance. Her skill in many different massage, muscle, and energy releasing techniques allows her to access the relationship between muscle groups and begin to release the problematic muscles in order to provide fast and effective relief for her clients.

Mannina explains: “So often, a client feels pain or other discomfort in an area far removed from where his or her problem is originating. This is why I always take the time to help the client understand his or her own body. I’m also a big believer in getting my clients to take more control of their body’s progress. I give them basic exercises, which can become a part of their daily routine, so they can at least maintain the level of relief we achieved together at my studio.

The more a client becomes aware of their body and its condition, the more they become a team player in their healing process. The greatest healing takes place when we are connected in the now moment, moving the body toward better balance. Developing a greater sense of the body is essential; after all, your body is your life.
